My maori song

Purerehua Is one of my favourite maori songs. As most of us know this song it's kinda about someone leaving the family to find their own way in life it mentions a part of having eggs and caterpillars like how we have babies then something about flying high up like how we have children but sometimes aren't lucky enough to see them for that long this is something that I thought of for a while everything and everyone dies but we keep these memories alive within ourselves this why this song is significant to me also my mum used to sing it to me before I went to bed at night

If you want to see the song in English here is the link

My giant family

                  My giant family

If I were a child from the 1800s it wouldn't be much different because I have nearly the same amount I have 5 siblings including myself that is 6 their names and ages are keycaia kasedy manaia and me awaroa then devlin and silvia me and manaia are the middle children manaia is 11 years old and I'm 12 the babies of the family are keycaia and kasedy, keies is 4 and kass is 5
My older siblings are devlin and silvia devlin is 17 and silvia i think is about 21 I haven't seen Silvia in a while she lives in Aussie with her boyfriend if I had 4 more siblings things would probably get to crazy for my parents liking one thing I can say is I can't wait for my brother to finally move out because his bedroom is going to be mine yay but again nine siblings I can't believe it even my parents thought it would be a good idea to stop at 5-6 not to say anything bad they can live their lives I think tho people stopped having heaps of children due to prices going up through out the world and being able to put enough food on the table

My cupcakes

One of my favourite meals is a fresh warm cupcake with sprinkles these were my favourite  because I made them myself with my sister and Nan so sorry there is no recipe that is because we didn't write it down we followed orders from our Nan she help us make it it was a huge mess at the end but they were delicious the overall reason it was my favourite was because it held sentimental value  I hope you enjoyed my little backstory hope you have a great holiday with your family and bake something delicious

My dream job

My dream job is to one day pursue my dream as an artist I specifically like drawing anime my hero in drawing is a famous cosplayer who I really loved and enjoyed I started off by drawing funny cartoon characters then I saw some cosplayers and I wondered what if I could draw something like that but before I drew something I watched anime and drew something like this, this is one of my anime drawings from my favorite anime series if you want to see more of my art you can comment and I'll edit this and put some more of my art hope you enjoyed looking at my art thank you RUBY and MRS BRINK

Similarities and differences

Similarities and differences

What does a wharepuni have in common with an modern day home
  1. They both offer confort
  2. They both hold sentimental value
  3. They both give a sense of wellbeing and happiness

What a modern house and a wharepuni don't have in common

  1. Wharepuni are very small compared to what we call these days mansions
  2. It looks kinda like a marea with the carving on the outside
  3. Houses these days are built with timber but some are built with metal specifically steel

Why I wouldn't do Waka ama

Would I want to in a Waka ama team

No I would not want to be in a Waka ama team not for a bad reason tho here are my three reasons

  1. I don't have the physical and mentale properties to be able do Waka ama at a high standard which is clearly need in this sport
  2. It is something that personally I wouldn't do I'm more into art drawing and tech along with cooking and design
  3. It takes a lot of energy to move the Waka even with 5-6 people

But respect to the people who have the mental and physical properties need to do this I can tell they put in a lot of dedication and heart to do all of that

Going on a cruise

                  Me moving to another country
To my dear friend Amelia As we were sailing through, the waves were crashing up against the sides of our Waka on my voyage along with family I thought that we might capsize I wondered if there would be chance that their might be anyone else at our stop it was scary but at the same time exciting their were also fellow villagers and a couple of friends of mine I missed my friends who couldn't  come join on our voyage it is now 9.00 at night I looked up at the stars and thought what if there were cannibals or we sunk to the bottom of the sea I couldn't bare the thought on our way I asked my father how he navigated through the night  he said he used something called wayfinding it is a way to sail through the night by using the stars as a guide to help you find your way through the night sky were you can't really see anything. A few days had past and I heard the sounds of birds in the distance I went to the front of the Waka and looked toward the horizon, I woke my mother and father and said look there's land they woke with a smile and did a signal to the other Voyagers to say we found land some of them were asleep but they soon woke to find land ahead we build camp and the men went fishing and hunting well the woman got the fires ready along with weaving new fishing nets they also got coconuts they had to husk to make drinks. After we celebrated with a fest and drinks we then called it a night it was an amazing night and an exciting new experience but at the same time  I thought it was kinda strange to just go to another place thousands of miles away it took me awhile to get used to it and I still missed my friends and you very much but I made some new friends who I hope you'll meet very soon . As the night was nearing my parents taught me how the fish and husk along with weaving and hunting it was the best day of my life so don't be discouraged and scared.

My three facts

My three facts about Maui and the giant fish

  1. As i read on I found out that Maui's brothers were none other than greedy pigs who didn't  really care about their people's well being

  1. In time the giant fish became known as the north island of aotearoa which is now I habited with people of all different cultures and religion

  1. Over many hundreds and thousands of years, the gullies and mountains became part of Aotearoa as we know it today. Birds, plants, animals and the people of Hawaiki populated the giant fish of Māui.
